Edward Joseph McKnight, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2017.
Edward was born in St. Paul, MN on December 12, 1972 to Edward and Susan (Wirtz) McKnight. At the age of 3, Ed and his family moved to Becker, MN, where they lived for the next 14 years. The family moved back to St. Paul and Edward graduated from Johnson High School in 1991. Ed worked most of his life as a machinist and plastic injection molding technician. He loved working on cars, especially muscle cars with big engines. Ed always felt the need for speed, he said it helped him relax.
Edward is preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts, and many uncles. Ed is survived by his parents, Edward and Susan McKnight of Sandstone, MN; his sisters, Kelly (Mark) Whitcomb of Sandstone, MN, Patricia (Randy) Hill of St. Francis, MN, Michelle Baragar of Sandstone, MN; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held for Edward on June 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Methven Funeral Home in Sandstone, MN, with Pastor Cundiff officiating. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. and continue until the start of the memorial service.
