Ellen Benson Stanton

HYRUM, Cache County, July 15 — Mrs. Ellen Benson Stanton, 76, died early Wednesday morning at her home of infirmities incident to age.

She was born July 24, 1871, in Hyrum, a daughter of Moroni and Martha Phillips Benson. She was married to George W. Stanton Dec. 19, 1891. He died May 24, 1947.

She is survived by one daughter and one son, LeRoy W. Stanton, Hyrum, and Mrs. Isabelle Bailey, Wellsville; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, J. Milton Benson, Hyrum; five sisters; Mrs. Margaret Williams and Mrs. Laura Wray, Hyrum; Mrs. Cynthia Nebeker, Shoshone, Ida.; Mrs. Caddie Rex, Randolph, Rich county; Mrs. Linda Atkinson, Kamas.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Hyrum Second ward chapel Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Levi Andersen bishop. Friends may call at the home of her son, LeRoy Stanton, here Friday evening and Saturday until time for services. Burial will be in Hyrum Cemetery.
