Although Dessie is listed in various records as Odessa, Adessa, and Dessie, I believe her name was Esther Odessa "Dessie" Athey who was married to Marion Chorpenning Benford. After Marion's death "Dessie" married Henry North. Since she is listed on her death certificate as Dessie, I am using Dessie as her first name even though I believe it is a nickname.
Dessie died in Randolph County, WV at the Odd Fellows Home. She is also listed with two different birthdates: I am using the above birthdate since that is on her death certificate
