Services for Dorothy Mae Corban Calcote, 91, who passed away on June 15, 2017 at Magee Hospital in Magee, MS, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hunter officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Calcote was born on November 3, 1925 in Natchez, the daughter of A. B. and Caluie Corban. She married her high school sweetheart, James V. Calcote on March 23, 1942.

The greatest joys in her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved sewing and working in her yard, flower and vegetable gardens. She was known throughout the family for her home cooking. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Calcote was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, James V. Calcote, a son, Jimmy Calcote, and three sisters, Helen Rush, Patty White, and Peggy Calhoun.

Survivors include two daughters: Sue Baldwin and husband, Mike, of Terry and Linda Brown and husband, Richard, of Florence; daughter-in-law: Felicia Calcote; one sister: Pat Evans; five grandchildren: Kim Hutton and husband, Ed, Connie Scarborough and husband, John, Chastity Graves and husband, Bill, Jennifer Swanner and husband, James, and Jason Calcote and wife, Marci; five great-grandchildren: Kelsey Morgan, Shelby Morgan, Heather Hutton, Landon Graves, Davis Swanner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Calcote, Bruce Calcote, William Calcote, Mike Rush, Brent Calcote, and John Scarborough.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Calcote and Ellis Crooks.
