William Wade Bedwell, 89, of Sarasota, FL formerly of Decatur, passed away June 16, 2017 at Sarasota Inter Coastal Medical Center. Wade was born on March 17, 1928 in Dugger, IN to the late Dovie D. and Gertrude (Booker) Bedwell. On Labor Day, September 4, 1948 he married Norma A. McClure.

Wade retired from BF Goodrich as a bead former. He loved bowling; playing the organ; he and his wife loved to travel the United States camping and RVing; and he also loved doing jig saw puzzles.

He is survived by his three sons, Alan Bedwell of Decatur, IN, Max Bedwell of Sarasota, FL and Bruce (Nancy Fiechter) Bedwell of Bluffton, IN; sister-in-law, Glenda Hosier of Ft. Wayne, IN; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Wade is preceded in death by his wife, Norma who passed away November 6, 2013.

A Memorial service honoring both Wade and Norma will take place on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.

Burial will take place following service at Decatur Cemetery.
