Comes To Val Durbin At The Hospital Result Of Being Kicked By A Horse
Deceased Survived By Six Children
Vanlandingham Durbin died at the Mt. Vernon hospital Thursday night at 10:05 o'clock after suffering for a period of one week as a result of being kicked on the back of the head by a horse while at his home on the W. M. Koons farm just east of the city.
On Thursday morning he suffered a relapse, after having gained considerable strength on Wednesday, and grew steadily worse until the time of his death, the immediate cause of which was a fractured skull.
He was born June 9th, 1869, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Durbin, his mother, three sons, Royal, Albert and Harrold, three daughters, Miss Elizabeth, Miss Pauline and Mrs. Edna Morgan, and four sisters.
