Mrs. Alice Burdock
Mrs. Alice Gertrude Burdock, 65, 158 Linden NE, wife of John Burdock, died in St. Joseph's Hospital at 5:30 a.m. today. Death was sudden and came as a shock to her family and her many friends here.
Mrs. Burdock, a resident of this city for the past 29 years, was born in Hubbard on Aug. 7, 1888, a daughter of Michael and Mary Kelly. She formerly resided in Youngstown and was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius' Church.
Surviving are her husband, John, to whom she was married 34 years ago; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Mathieson and Mrs. Francis Roddy, both of this city; two sons, Robert W., a member of the Youngstown Vindicator staff, and John X., both of this city; a brother, Theodore Kelly, Youngstown; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Sullivan and Mrs. James Giblin, both of Youngstown, and Mrs. Harry Fulmer, Long Beach, Calif., and one grandson.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius' Church with Rev. Joseph A. Krispinsky officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at Gillen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday.
