American Actress. Born Mary Tubito. She immigrated to the "United States" with her family. She and her late husband, Buddy Valastro Sr., bought "Carlo’s Bakery" in 1964. She and Buddy Sr. quickly became pillars of the community. She was known for her larger than life personality, she was loved by many. When Buddy Sr. died in 1994, she decided against selling the business, opting instead to keep it in the family. She and her children worked hard at "Carlo’s Bakery" to accomplish his goal of making the hometown bake shop a household name. The success of the bakery would quickly get the attention of the media and eventually be the subject of the hit television series, "Cake Boss". The show first aired in April 2009, and continued through eight seasons. Buddy was his mother’s number one fan on the show, she also was his biggest critic, which was part of the shows popularity. She was known as "Cake Boss Mom" and "Mamma" on the show. After winning over the hearts of millions on the television show "Cake Boss". In 2011 she was diagnosis with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
