Was for Many Years a Well-Known Druggist. Holyoke, July 6—The death this evening of Thomas F. Connor of 40 Morgan street, for many years engaged in the drug business, but of late, by reason of failing health, in insurance, removes before the fullness of years allotted, a young man of exceptional ability, engaging personality and agreeable disposition, who made friends without an effort and retained them with ease. He learned the drug business as a youth of C.E. Bardwell in the old “flatiron block” at the intersection of Main and Race streets and later did efficient service at the C.E. Ball Drug company in the then Ball building. He was several years in each of these places, and he then went into business for himself at the corner of Maple and Lyman streets.
Later he sold out and bought a drug store at Chicopee Falls, which he again sold out on account of ill health and entered the employ of the Aetna Life Insurance company of Hartford, Ct.
He leaves besides his parents, MR. and Mrs. Michburael J. Connor, five small children; seven sisters, Mrs. Tuohey of Springfield, Mrs. J. Cullen of Holyoke, Mrs. C. Ryan of Newark, N.J., Mrs. Slocum of Worcester, Katharine, Mrs. Richard Connor, Mary, all of Holyoke and Mrs. DeMar of Glastonbury, Ct.; also, four brothers, Edward of Holyoke, Arthur of Newark, N.J., Benjamin of Winthrop Highlands, John of Pittsfield. The funeral will be held at 40 Morgan street Saturday morning.
