Scherrie Adams, 74, of Lees Summit, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Mount Washington Cemetery.

Scherrie was born on February 18, 1943 in Independence, MO to William and Peggy (Butler) Braden. She enjoyed crafts, having her own business called “Scherrie’s Creations”. She taught painting and ceramics, earned several awards for her work, and loved to travel. Scherrie was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

She will be remembered by her daughter Elizabeth Rivera of Raytown, MO; son John Adams and wife Meshel of Lees Summit, MO; grandchildren Andrew Taylor, Willie Taylor, Joey Taylor, Ariel Adams, Brianna Adams, and Jake Adams; great-grandchildren Katie Myrick, Glen Taylor and Alexandrew Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and her husband Harry.
