JOHNSON, Edward "Eddie", age 86 of Dayton passed away at home on Thursday June 22, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Anna Johnson; son, Larry Johnson; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Johnson; daughter, Diana (Jack) Zerbey; and son, James (Fiancée, Tina Miller) Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, and Sarah Zerbey and Anthony (Fiancée, Cammy Abel) Zerbey; 2 sisters; 5 brothers; and his dog, Buddy.

Eddie served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He retired as a Supervisor of Preventive Maintenance, shop 2 after 30 years from the Dayton Public Schools. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 73, Fraternal Order of the Eagles 321, and the American Legion Post 763.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11 AM with Chaplain Pamela Gaylor officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
