Dr. John Sperry Thomas died from meningitis and was interred at Ambler, PA on Jan. 20, 1893. He was "In his 53rd year" and thus must have been born abt. 1840/1841 in Pennsylvania.
The DoD in some of Ancestry's public member trees is definitely wrong. Also that he was born in New Jersey doesn't seem to be correct according to the 1870 and 1880 US Federal census.
