Virgie Elizabeth Holloway, 78, of Weatherford died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home
surrounded by her family.
She was a sweetheart. Born May 4, 1925, in Whitney, Texas, Virgie married Cloy Levy Holloway
Sept. 21, 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.
Her parents, Benjamin and Cora Lee Bryum, brothers, JB, Clarence and Odel Keener, Frank and
Darrell Byrum, precede Virgie in death; also a granddaughter, Jae Jae Warick-Williams who passed
away June 1, 2002.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Cloy L. Holloway of Weatherford; sons, Lee Roy Holloway
of Weatherford, Carl Holloway and wife, Donna, of Fort Worth; daughters, Beth Harrington and
husband, Kenneth, of Weatherford, Rita Pritchard and husband, Dan, of Annetta, Virginia Ann
Jackson of Lexington, June Hardin and husband, Charlie, of Garner; grandchildren, Felicia Holloway
Fulenwider, Tony Holloway, Keith Holloway, Jennifer Pritchard Morrissey, Amanda Hudgins, Christie
Jackson McConkey, April Jackson Lee, Jackie Pritchard; and great-grandchildren, Kristan, Tanyon,
Cierrah Fulenwider, Tate Holloway, Ethan Warick, Alisha Holloway, Connor McConkey and Lauren
Lee.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery near Whitney. Visitation will be 5 to 7
p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home. Following the graveside service in Whitney, New Faith
Baptist Church in Annetta will host a dinner for the family at 6 p.m. at the church. Galbreaith-Pickard
Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
