Death of Aurelian Conkling, Esq
This gentleman, who was the son of Hon. Alfred Conkling, died at Buffalo on Monday of typhoid fever. At the time of his death and for many years Mr. Conkling had been Clerk of the U. S. District Court. He was a man of marked intelligence and distinguished elecutionary powers. Mr. Conkling, we believe was a native of this county and not Herkimer as stated in the Utica Herald.
His age was 42 years.∼At the time of his death at age 42 of typhoid he was a Clerk of the U. S. District Court in Buffalo.
He had had that position for a number of years.
His wife was Harriet Schemerhorn.
