OLEAN – June W. Anastasia, formerly of 414 North Clark St., passed away Wednesday (June 21, 2017) in Absolut of Allegany, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 18, 1924 in Greenwood, the daughter of the late William Alfred and Cleo Cook Bess. On April 27, 1946 in Olean, she married Carl J. Anastasia who passed away April 17, 2016.

June was a graduate of Olean High School and was employed as a clerk in F.R. Brothers & Company for many years. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. June was a great cook of Italian Cuisine for her family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Terry (Jamie) Anastasia of Olean; a daughter, Sheila (Dan) Bradley of St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mike (Richele) Anastasia, Steve (Deana) Anastasia and Lauren Bradley; and four great-grandchildren, Cory, Kiley, Allison and Matthew Anastasia.

June was predeceased by her husband; a sister, Joan Campanari; a brother, Kenneth Bess; and a twin brother, William Bess.

Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
