Eva McLuckie (Giacometti)
Eva was born in Frontenac, Kansas on December 1, 1920 to Giacomo and Maria Mariuci Giacometti.
She attended Frontenac school and graduated in 1938.
Eva married Alex McLuckie on September 21, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1985.
Eva worked for Ramsey's Department Store from 1968 to 1976.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Frontenac and the Altar Society.
Survivors include one daughter Mary Carol Martinous and husband Farris of Pittsburg, one son John McLuckie of Frontenac, three grandchildren: Paul Martinous of Pittsburg, Maria McDonald and husband Matt of Frontenac, and Justin McLuckie of Topeka, four great-grandchildren: John Paul and Jacob Farris Martinous, Alexis Maria and Eva Madelyn McDonald, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alex, three sisters Lena Dellamo, Tallie Elena, and Alvera Betori, two brothers Geno and Robert Giacometti, and one daughter-in-law Karen McLuckie.
Rosary will be held 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30 at Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac with visitation immediately following.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac. Celebrant will be by Father Thomas Stroot.
Burial will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Foundation for Fighting Blindness and can be left with Friskel Funeral Home.
