My Grandma, My Mom(Grandparents raised me), My Best Friend~

Daughter Of Clarence & Clara (Overton) Hoover~

Sister Of Margaret Alm & Norma Chestnut~

Married Irvin Elias Smith Sr. on June 17, 1946~

They had 4 Children~Linda, Sandra, Diana & J.R.~
She was a Wonderful, Loving & Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandma & Friend!~ After raising their own 4 children, they took in their 4 grandchildren to love & raise.

They Lived at Lake Lotawana, Missouri the last 20 Years before she retired as Inn Supervisor at Unity Village in Lee's Summit, Mo. in 1985. They then moved to Warsaw, Mo. where they wanted to enjoy retirement in Bent Tree Harbor at Truman Lake. She enjoyed planting flowers and tending to them. She always loved having her family around the house and cooking large meals for them! She was a WONDERFUL cook. Her famous words to us kids were "Get your feet off that coffee table". She loved a clean & well kept home. She enjoyed Country & Western Music & her favorite was "Patsy Cline". She also enjoyed singers who Yodeled. She enjoyed many family reunions in Nebraska each July. She had many brothers & sisters with whom she would get an opportunity to visit with. She dearly loved all her family.

They didn't get to enjoy much time in Bent Tree when the Breast Cancer she had previously received treatment for, returned. She worried more for her loved ones than she did herself, this was typical for her, she never complained & fought this horrible cancer as long as she could. My Grandpa (Irvin) passed away 10 years later & he dearly continued to love, honor & cherish her until the day he went to be with her! She was his ROCK! I will forever be grateful to my Grandma & Grandpa for all they have given us.

Looking back I know times got really tough on them & they could have easily quit on us, but they didn't! Neither of them complained, ever! I Love You Both With All My Heart! I pray you always knew that! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH! YOU ARE "Together Forever" IN GOD & EACH OTHERS ARMS NOW! YOU WILL FOREVER BE LOVED, MISSED & REMEMBERED!

"IN YOUR MEMORY"

We miss you & love you more than words can say~Although we know you watch over us day after day~
How could we have known it would be this way, that very sad day that you went away~
We know there's a God who understands how much it hurts~He sent his only son down upon this great big earth~
Jesus knew our hearts do suffer, when a loved one goes away~So he promised life eternal for those who love & pray~
He told us to keep our eyes on him, he will show the way~So we know the day will come, when we see your loving face~could be any moment, might be a little while~We know one thing is for sure, we pray to see your smile~
He knows how much you meant to us~What a beautiful part of life you were~Heaven has you now~Your heaven's precious pearl~
You are not just a memory on earth, your memory is so much more~You never stopped being our mom for a moment, cause God called you ashore~
He knew we would always keep loving you mama, so in Heaven he made this door~It's a door we peek through often~To see your loving face~If only for a moment, feel your loving arms embrace~
Where we can come say "I still love you mom"~Though in this special place~Until we meet again, God knew it had to be~This special place we get to meet, IN YOUR MEMORY~

Love, All Your Family~
