Richard M. Barbour, prominent Franklin County, Indiana, farmer, died Monday at the home of his son, Robert Barbour, near Springfield, Indiana. Mr. Barbour, who was 76 years of age, had spent his entire life in the vicinity of Springfield. Mr. Barbour’s wife, who was a sister of Mrs. H. S. Smith and R. D. Gillespie of this place, preceded him in death twelve years ago.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Elwell, and Misses Rebecca and Katherine Barbour of North College Avenue, one brother, Charles W. residing just west of Oxford, and the son, Robert Barbour. The funeral will be held at the son’s house Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in the Springfield cemetery.
