Gerald Louis "Jerry" Albury, 77, Inverness passed away June 27, 2017 in Shands of UF Hospital in Gainesville. Jerry was born in St Petersburg, Florida, one of 7 children to the late Arley and Alva Blanche (Connell) Albury and moved to Citrus County in 1976. He was employed in the roofing industry, having worked for C & S Roofing for 15 years and the Citrus County School Board roofing and maintenance departments prior to retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music, watching Gator football, but most of all spending time at home with his family. He served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joyce Kathleen (Greer) Albury; 3 children, Erin Wade Albury and wife, Lindsey of Perry, FL; Jared Wayne Albury and fiancee, Nicole Coleman of Lake City, FL; Tracy Townsend and husband, Joe of Inverness; 3 grandchildren, Ty, Ryley, and Easton.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Langdon of the Redemption Christian Church officiating. Military Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery with V.F.W. Post 4337 officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
