Beloved husband of Lorraine M. Caplinger (nee Ankrom), devoted father of Mrs. Judy Riha and Robert L. Caplinger, son of Eva Caplinger (nee Haught), and the late Walter Caplinger, of Parkersburg, W. Va., brother of Louis Caplinger and Emogene Shriver, of Parkersburg, W. Va. Also survived by three grandchildren.
