Abbott, Thomson Steele
Of Grafton, August 14, 1998. Age 77 years. Loving husband of Eleanor. Father of Katherine (James) Gascoigne, Judith (Stephen) Shanley, Thomson (Mary) Abbott, Richard (Elizabeth) Wieland, Dave (Gail) Abbott and Christine (Todd) Reichardt. Proud grandfather of 14. Further survived by brother John (Patricia) Abbott and other relatives.

Thomson was born in St. Paul MN on Feb. 15, 1921. Graduated from the University of Minnesota in Mechanical Engineering. He served on the U.S. Tucker in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Following the war, Tom was employed as a mechanical engineer with Allis Chalmers for over 35 years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, where he was a member of its choir and served on the Vestry, Outreach and Building and Grounds Committees. He remained active with the Alph Nu Chapter of Chi Psi Fraternity and the Southeastern Wisconsin Area Agency on Aging until the time of his death.

Not in State. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, Aug. 17 at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 7805 River Rd., River Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church appreciated. A family reception will be held following services at the church.
