HARLEY OWEN
Harley H. Owen, 78, of Ozark died Saturday, Jan 13, 1996, at 11:45 p.m., after an extended illness.
He was born June 2, 1917, at Alma, the son of the late *John H (*Henry Ray) and Cora *Kenny (*Kenney) Owen. He was a retired long-time businessman in Ozark and a Pentecostal. He was a corporal, serving in the 112th AAF Base Unit in northern Europe during World War II. He received the Good Conduct Medal and Campaign Ribbon with one battle star.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Ann and Vera Gail, both of Fort Smith; two sons, Harvey Lee of Ozark and Brandon of Prairie View; three sisters, Ester Aust of Odessa, Texas, Ida Nixon of Stockton, Calif., and *Rosa Lee Ford. (Rosa Lee was his niece-child of Everett Owen)
of Ulysses, Kan; one brother, Richard Owen of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, *John H. Jr, (*not a "Jr") and Everett, and one sister, *Celie Wilborn (*Celia Wilbourn), all of Ozark.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jan Akins officiating. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery at Jethro.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Nichols, Randy Gilbreth, Manuel Hutchinson, Jim Noggle, Steve Bennett and Manuel Gipson.
Honorary pallbearers were Skinner Pritchard, Minor Gipson, Bill Bennett and Roy Brown.
