John was born July 5, 1955 in Springfield, IL, the son of Miley Allen & June (Vanda)Strayer.
John graduated from Eddyville High School in 1971. John joined the Navy. John enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles.
John is survied by his companion, Cindy Montegna, his ex-wife Mary Weber, seven children: Jeff, Daniel, Thomas, Jessie, Stacie, John,& Cameron; five brothers Miley, Vern, Glen, Donald, & Raymond; two sisters Barbara & Carol. He ws preceded in death by his parents.
John is the grandson of Albert & Grace Strayer, great garandson of Miley & Elmira Strayer, and great great grandson of Martin & Rachel (Ralya) Strayer.
