RICHARD J. FRASCH
(1927 - 2017)

Richard J Frasch, age 89, and Beverly J. Frasch, age 80, died of injuries sustained in a car accident on June 28th in the city of Two Rivers.

Richard was born December 3, 1927, to the late Louis and Marie (Sayeski) Frasch. He attended St. Luke Parochial School and Washington High School in Two Rivers. Richard retired at the age of 79 after working 49.5 years at Parker Hannifin. He took great pride in working well beyond normal retirement and felt he still retired too soon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1248, Two Rivers.

Bev was born September 11, 1936, to the late Ernest and Catherine Van Enkenvort. Having been born and raised in Green Bay, Bev was a Packer Fan. She knew football quite well and enjoyed a good conversation about teams and other players, but Brett Favre and the Packers were her favorite. She also was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Foreign Wars.

Bev and Richard were married in September of 1965 and would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this year. They both enjoyed spending time at their second home in Green Bay (Bev's family home) and developed lasting friendships with their close neighbors both in Two Rivers and Green Bay. They were members of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay and St. Peter the Fisherman in Two Rivers.

In Green Bay, they enjoyed the company of neighbor, Jenny, and her children, Greyson and Andrew, as well as weekly visits from Tom Blaney. Beverly and Richard enjoyed sitting on their back patio watching the Notre Dame Academy students' different activities. They always commented on how wonderful the students were. Summer brought them additional visits from NDA staff and Bev and Richard were quick to offer their hospitality. Through this friendship, they became supporters of Notre Dame and regularly attended the annual President's Dinner. At the most recent dinner in May, they were recognized as special friends of Notre Dame.

Their life in Two Rivers included daily breakfast at Joy's Family Restaurant and bench side chats with friend and neighbor, Jerry Schubring. Richard was a great mechanic and each year he would take the snow blowers and lawn mowers apart making sure they were ready for both he and Jerry. Jerry and Richard also delivered Meals on Wheels twice a month. Jerry would be the driver and Richard would run the meals in, greeting people with his warm and friendly smile.

They also enjoyed their monthly breakfast gatherings with their nieces and nephews from Sheboygan where talk would often turn to Richard's love of Buicks, (the Cadillac would always be second), sports (Richard preferred baseball and Bev preferred football), and of course, they loved hearing us talk about our grandkids. They were looking forward to a family picnic in the park in July with the grand-nieces and nephews.

Survivors include Richard's nieces and nephews from Sheboygan; Michael (Linda) Frasch, Barbara (James) Horneck, Lori (John) Schoen, Steven (Hung) Frasch; Bev's sister, Mary (James) Kommers and her children Jim and Kathy, and nieces and nephews Steve, Sherry, Scott, Shaun, and Shelly; long time neighbor and friend, Jerry Schubring, and other relatives, family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Jean Frasch. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Hiram Pries, and her brother, Jules.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 1322 33rd Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc at a later time.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
