William Hicey Ankrom, 76, well known retired farmer who until recent years resided in Greene County, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home, 640 Penn Avenue in Tylerdale. He was born March 11, 1857, a son of Uriah and Sarah Dunston Ankrom.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Grable Ankrom, two brothers, Frank Ankrom of Allentown and Edward Ankrom of Middlebourne, Ohio; several daughters, Mrs. Mary Moore of Waynesburg; Martha Ankrom of Barnesville, Ohio; Mrs. Sadie Peck of Malta, Ohio; Mrs. Daisy M. Ward, Sarah, Flora, and Midlred Ankrom, all of Washington; four sons, Charles of Barnesville, Ohio; Edward, Fred, and William Ankrom, all of Washington; 34 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services to be held at the home today at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery at Waynesburg, R.D. 5, Pennsylvania.
