Edwin M. Kennedy, formerly of 562 N. Farnham St., died Tuesday night in Quincy Soldiers and Sailors Home, where he resided. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the First and Puckett Home.

Funeral rites for Edwin M. Kennedy, 83, formerly of 562 N. Farnham St., will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the First and Puckett Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday night. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A veteran of the Spanish-American War, he died Tuesday at the Soldiers and Sailors Home at Quincy, where he resided the past nine years.
Mr. Kennedy was born Dec. 25, 1876, at Aurora and lived in Galesburg most of his life. He was a retired Burlington Railroad fireman. He was a member of Quincy Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by a daughter, Mrs. O.F. Freel, East Peoria, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edwin M. Kennedy, 83, formerly of 562 N. Farnham St., who died Tuesday, were held today at 1:30 p.m. in the First and Puckett Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward G. Johnson officiated and Mrs. Clifford Pearson was organist.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary D. and Stanley Kennedy and Gary and Carl L. Mitchell.
