My Aunt Barbara was something special. She could make just about anyone laugh, but I think her best quality was her caring nature. She always put others before herself. She cared for her parents when they became sick. She truly loved her family. She was born January 14, 1958 in Georgia and passed away June 18, 2017 in Statesboro, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Mitchell "Bill" Brannen and Blanche Williams. She is survived by her partner Larry Lockhart, sisters Shirley Slater and Mary Kerley, brothers-in-law Robert Slater and Johnnie Kerley, nieces Bobbie Patrick, Tracy Slater, and Melissa Whitehead, and nephews John Kerley, William Kerley, and Michael Kerley.
