Ramond D. Gleckler, 83 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in the Huguley Memorial Hospital located in Fort Worth, Texas, after suffering a stroke on February 3, 2007.
Ramond was born on Wednesday, August 31, 1923 in Monroeville, Indiana, the son of the late Ray J. Gleckler and the late Carrie (McGonagle) Gleckler. He married Donna Belle Dager on April 25, 1943 in Monroeville, Indiana, and she survives.

He was a member of Moose Lodge #2200 in Crowley, Texas.

Ramond retired in 1991 from Carlsberg Management Company in Crowley, Texas after 8 years of service as a manager of a mobile home park. He had been a truck driver for many years for the former E. W. Bohren Company in Woodburn, Indiana.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Belle Glecker of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Saralyn S. Porter of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Ronald L. (Rhonda) Gleckler of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Douglas D. (Karen) Gleckler of Rio Vista, Texas, half-brother, Rick Gleckler of Jessup, Georgia, half-sister, Rae Ellen Hoblet of Van Wert, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding Ramond in death was one daughter, Linda Hart in 1984..

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana with the Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana.

Preferred memorials are to Monroeville Fire Dept.; Monroeville Park; or to the family.
