Garold L. Hampton, 71, of Bloomfield passed away at 5:30 P.M. February 27, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 4, 1935 in Champaign, Illinois he was the son of Rev. Creed & Helen (Reedy) Hampton.

Garold was retired from the United States Air Force. He also worked as a Electronic Technician, he was also a Minister with Church's in Browns Valley, Indiana; Worthington, Indiana; Waldron, Indiana; & Switz City, Indiana. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomfield where he was an Elder. He was a member of the American Legion in Worthington.

Surviving family include his wife Wanda E. (Bothast) Hampton of Bloomfield. His children Candy Coffman of Indianapolis, Janet Basye of Bloomfield, Tina Bays of Worthington, Denise Reynolds of Brownsburg, Beth Norris of Bloomfield, & Melissa Pinaire of Amboy. 15 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother Loren Hampton of Greenwood. 3 Sisters Carolyn Forsyth of Greenfield, Cheryl Wheelden of Kissimmee Florida, & Phyllis Wasson of Greenfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents & 1 son Richard Lee Hampton.

Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday March 1, 2007 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 10 A.M. till the hour Friday at the Church.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday March 2, 2007 at Bloomfield First Christian Church with Rev. Danny Holtsclaw and Rev. Dave Wilde officiating.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 3, 2007 at College Corner Cemetery in West College Corner, Indiana with full Military Graveside services.
