Kelly R. Hammond, 85, of Bristol, Tn., died Friday, August 29, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Scott County and had lived in Bristol most of his life.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Bonnie Estelle Tolbert Hammond, attended Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and a retired employee of Bristol Virginia Utilities Board.
Survivors include 5 daughters, Frances Scates, Fayetteville, NC., Katherine Bourne, Locust Grove, Va., Dr. Geneva Dillard, Patsy Kegley, and Gloria Lovegrove, all of Bristol, Tennessee; 1 son, John Hammond, Church Hill; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Akard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services for Kelly Roy Hammond will be conducted at 8 p.m., Saturday in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cass Farrior officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday in Mountain View Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Hammond is also survived by a special friend, Myrtle Osbourne.
