Married Minnie Ossie Harritt on December 23rd, 1893. After her death and the death of his brother Clifford, Walter married his sister-in-law Edith Myrtle Adams Dunken on March 2nd, 1910. Fathered 9 children during his marriages and raised Edith's 2 sons.

WALTER DUNKEN DIES AT RIVERSIDE ROAD HOME FRIDAY NIGHT
Walter Dunken, 68, native of Wisconsin, died at home on the Riverside road Friday night after an illness of
four years. He had been a resident of Watsonville for the last five years.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; five daughters, Mrs. Freeda Tucker, Exeter; Mrs. W. J. Sahlman, Fresno;
Mrs. Algot Johnson, Sacramento; Mrs. C. A. Lagrand, Salinas, and Hazel Dunken of Watsonville; five sons, John
and Joe of Watsonville, Gene of York, Neb., Wilson of Visalia, and Roy of Lemoore; two sisters, Mrs. W. S.
Harrett of York, Neb., and Grace Dirchs, Camp Vierde, Arizona; three brothers, G. W. Dunken of Nelson, Neb.,
James, Grand Island, Neb., and Arthur of Nelson, Neb.
DUNKEN FUNERAL SERVICES HELD
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday from White's mortuary for Walter Dunken, who died Friday at his
home on the Riverside Road. Rev. H. R. Olsen officiated at the final rites.
A quartet consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Litska, Mrs. H. R. Olson and Junior Davis sang "Nearer My God
to Thee." Mrs. Harold Byram sang "No Disappointment in Heaven" and Mrs. H. R. Olson sang "Abide With
Me." Franklyn Colburn accompanied all at the organ.
Burial took place in the family plot in the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. Pall bearers were A. Barnes, T. G.
Johnson, D. O. Chadwell, E. Thome, J. Litska and C. Taylor.
There were numerous floral tributes in evidence.
