Nathaniel died between 1824 and 1830. He was the son of Nathaniel and Johanna (Parkhurst) Main of Plainfield, Conn.
Nathaniel and his brother Zadock came to Brookfield, NY, in 1791. While he may have purchased land at that time, it wasn't until sometime between 1810 and 1820 that he, his wife and three of his sons (Charles, Nathaniel III and James) migrated from Plainfield to the area of the Town of Brookfield that was formerly known as Nashville. His fourth son (Asa) had already died in Connecticut, although the date of his death is not known.
