Christian Leigh Grill bid farewell Aug. 11, after a long battle with cancer.

Grill was a longtime Laguna Beach local with a passion for music and travel; a drummer who marched to the beat of his own drum. His family and friends use these words to describe him: low key, charismatic, artistic, witty, sexy, thoughtful, unique and authentic, all wrapped in effortless style.

With heavy hearts we will carry on, Christian's memory never far from our thoughts.

The memorial service will be held on Oct. 9 at 3 p.m., with a celebration of Grill's life to follow at 4 p.m. Music, food and fun "Christian style" will be located at 1102 Gaviotta, on the corner of Oak and Coast Highway.

Memorial donations can be made to Pay Pal.com using this address: [email protected].

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
"Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd
