She was a daughter of John and Ethel (Nokes) Avery.

She married Ernest W. Marlow on 12/11/1943 in Notre Dame Church in Malone. He died on 1/8/2003.

She helped run the family plumbing business in Brushton for many years. Her love of children led her to have a day care for many children. She enjoyed raising African violets and gloxinias, relaxed sewing and playing bingo

She was survived by two daughters, Joan (Kenneth) Sather and Sandra Marlow (Deborah) two stepdaughters, Laura DiPreta and Annette Lowe; a sister, Grace Griffin, four grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by a son, Dale, in 1947; three brothers, Lawrence, Davis and Alton; seven sisters, Wilma, Anna, Lillian, Edna, Marjorie, Freda and Flora.
