Mrs. Grant was an operations manager for Boise, Idaho-based Washington Group International at its Troy offices. She graduated from Mid Peninsula School District in Perkins in 1990. Following high school, she attended Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, transferring to Michigan State University. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1995. After graduation she obtained employment with Washington Group, with her most recent assignment in Puerto Rico. She recently graduated from the "Leap Program," a program designed for individuals with high potential. Her strengths and abilities were continually recognized throughout her 12-year career with numerous opportunities and roles of increased responsibility, with her final position being operations manager. She took her work very seriously and is sincerely missed by her co-workers.

As a child, Mrs. Grant was involved in school sports, including cheerleading, basketball and track, played clarinet in band. She enjoyed participating in 4-H shooting sports, where she received the state 4-H shooting sports award for safety. She raised a variety of animals for the U.P. State Fair, winning Grand Champion honors with one of her hogs. She was also especially fond of her horse.

Mrs. Grant was very proud of her children and lived for them. Relatives said her wonderful personality can be seen in their little lives, and her continued influence will be painfully missed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was a very hard-working mother who did everything in her power to help provide for her family.

She is survived by her parents Mary and Gerald (Dusty) Destrampe, of Chillicothe Ohio; sister Alicia Standerfer (Destrampe), of Chillicothe Ohio; children, Lindsey and Ian; nephew, Alex; niece, Payton; grandmother, Mae Hynes-Gould, grandfather, Fredrick Gould, Tom and Shireen McLaughlin (Hynes), Rod and Carla Lanaville (Hynes), Allen and Patti Hynes, John Destrampe, Cathy Destrampe, Frank and Judy Destrampe, Cheryl Wellman, Dale Destrampe, Robert Destrampe and 12 cousins.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Allen Hynes, and Earl and Mary Jane Destrampe (Derouin).
