Elaine M. Brixius, age 93, of 1525 George Street, Manitowoc, died early Monday morning, July 17, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on May 11, 1924 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Feltman) Novak. On July 1, 1946 she married Kenneth E. Brixius in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1988.

Survivors include one son: Allan J. Brixius, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Lynn (Steve) May, Manitowoc, Melissa (Mike) Kolkovich, Pardeeville, Michael (Amanda) Brixius, Manitowoc; one "step" granddaughter: Jessica (T.J.) Fischer; five great grandchildren: Snowden & Paizylee May, Mallory & McKenzie Kolkovich, and Tenley Brixius; two "step" great granddaughters: Kylee & Isabella Fischer; one sister: Arlene Adamski, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law: Donald Brixius, Brillion; a special nephew: David "Harry" Adamski and his friend: Kelly Balzan; and a special niece-in-law: Rita (Delmer) Novak. Other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Darryl Brixius on February 9, 1997; an infant son; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Alice & Tony Weina, Clara Novak, Blanche Novak, Eleanor Novak, and Stanley Adamski; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Frank Novak, Ervin & Evelyn Novak; and three brothers-in-law and five sister-in-law: Ann Brixius, Virginia & Chet Rosinsky, Adeline & Victor Mrozinski, Grace & Louis Jirikowic and Janet Brixius.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall (1114 South 21st Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Thursday, July 20, 2017. Friends may also call Friday morning at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of morning prayers at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in Elaine's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Macular Degeneration Foundation or the Parkinson's Foundation.
