Mayes (1805-1861) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Anderson (1822-1890), daughter of John Anderson (1791-1842) and Nancy Rebecca Davenport (1795-1864) = According to the Tombstone Birth Calculator, based on the inscription on his tombstone,. he was born son 14 Aug 1844 in Kentucky. His father was a wealthy lawyer and both he and his older brother William followed their father in their chosen professions, William by 1860 and John by 1870. He died in Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky on 3 Aug 1886 1886, and according to the Graves County Cemeteries, Vol. II, p. 2, was buried here in the Anderson Family Cemetery. This was confirmed boy Mrs. Fenton, who identified and photographed his marker on Saturday or Sunday, November 11-12, 2017/
