Edwin F. Gardner Sr.

POULTNEY - Edwin F. Gardner Sr., 67, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 7, 1949, in West Haven, the son of Roy and Madine (Sears) Gardner.

He attended Poultney schools prior to serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Purdy during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Gardner married Mona Alt Sept. 12, 1970.
He was employed as a long distance truck driver for several area companies, including Goddard Trucking, Gallo Transportation, and was self-employed for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed doing puzzles, cribbage, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, of Poultney; three children, Suelynn Klee, of Lusby, Maryland, Saundra McIntyre, of Poultney, and Edwin Gardner Jr., of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; a sister, Jennie Burnstel, of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gardner was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Martin, and four brothers, Robert Morse, Garfield, Jerry "Mike" and Lee Gardner.

There will be no public services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Poultney Rescue Squad, 409 Route 30, Poultney, VT 05764.
Arrangements are by Durfee Funeral Home in Fair Haven.
