"The Heraldry of Worcestershire" published in 1873 states Henry and Bridget (Lyttelton) James had four daughters, co-heiresses, viz., Elizabeth, married to Humphrey Perrott, of Bell Hall; Dorothy, married to Henry Greswolde, of Yardley; Anne, married to Thomas Rudyard, of Rudyard, co. Stafford; and Martha, wife of John Perrott, of Worcestershire. Richardson's "Plantagenet Ancestry" also names four daughters:
Elizabeth - wife of Humphrey Perrott
Dorothy - wife of Henry Greswold
Anne - wife of Thomas Rudyard
Martha - wife of John Perrot
The England Marriages record states Henery Grishoulde married Dorothie James, 30 Oct 1592 in Belbroughton, Worcester, England. Henry Griswold was the son of Richard Griswold and Margaret Hall. None of their descendants came to America. This information is reiterated in "Griswold Family: 12 Generations in England."
Dorothy (James) and Henry Griswold had sons George, Humphrey, Richard and William. However, George was only about 13 years old (i.e., born ca 1588) when his father died in 1601/2. George died about 1615. George was presumably unmarried as no mention is made of a wife or children and all of his property (including Greet Hill) went to his brother Humphrey.
(Death date is unconfirmed.)
