Howard Franklin Hobaugh, 79, 527 McArthur Blvd., died at 7:40 o'clock this morning at Community Hospital.
A navtive of Pipe Stone, Minn., he was born Oct. 20, 1891, the son of Franklin and Mary Morril Hobaugh and was reared in Chance, S. D., and attended schools there.
A World War I veteran, He was a railroad engineer for 49 years and came to Anderson ten years ago after retiring from the railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood Locomotive Engineers.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Eva Hobaugh; two step-children, Mrs. Martha Wood and Gerald L. Lakey, both of Anderson; a foster son, Wayne Hill of Watson, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Veal and Mrs. Majorie Sangren both of South Dakota; a brother, Frances Hobaugh of Washington; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of relatives at the Rowe and Weston Funeral Home.
