Alyce Katerberg (Feddes) Finch entered into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2017. Alyce was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 14, 1925 to John and Martha Katerberg. She was the eighth of nine children.
She worked as a clerk during WWII, and married Neal Feddes in 1947. Together they raised four sons, Jay, Jim, Cal, and Chuck. Jay died tragically in an airplane crash in 1977. Her husband, Neal, died in 1978.
Alyce married Willard Finch in 1979, who had four grown children, Sharon Finch, Charlie Finch, Clark Finch (Carol), and Kathy McFadgen (Mark). This Finch family was never considered "step-family," they were always considered "family" not just by mom, but by all of us. Alyce also had two friends that she considered "close": Penny Arnold, and in the last several years, George Kamps. After Willard died in 1992 she began volunteering in Mexico, Cary Christian Center in Mississippi, and Rehoboth Christian Center in New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Neal Feddes and Willard Finch; son, Jay Feddes; and very special daughter-in-law, Arlene (Feddes) Lubbers. Survivors are Jim Feddes (Pittsburg, Pennsylvania), Cal and Jeanne Feddes (Gallup, New Mexico), Chuck and Carol Feddes (Manhattan, Montana), and Dan and Laurie Lubbers (Manhattan, Montana); 25 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
A huge special thank you to Churchill Retirement Home, their staff, nurses, and nurses aids for their wonderful care for Mom the last five and a half years, and also to Matt from Rocky Mountain Hospice - your love and compassion is truly a gift! She loved serving her Lord by being a servant to others. Her faith in a sovereign and loving God grew stronger through every trial, knowing that things don't just happen, but everything is a part of God's sovereign plan.

A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Churchill Cemetery, with a Memorial Service to begin at 11 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
