Moses Hebard, son of Seth W. and Hannah (Hebard) Estabrook, was born at Lebanon, N.H., Feb. 19, 1820; married Feb. 4, 1844, Mary Emily Stone, at Port Huron, Mich.; lived and died at Port Clinton, Iowa. After her death he married, Aug. 9, 1856, Caroline Eliza Smith, at Elgin, Illinois (born at Shoreham, Vt., July 10, 1829). He was a man of marked force of character. He was interested in lake commerce and railroading in the west. He died Jan. 10, 1878, at Clinton, Ia., and was buried there.

(1) Pulaski, born at Port Huron, Mich., Nov. 4, 1844; married July 20, 1871, Hulda Tuttle, at Chicago, Ill. He died at Clinton, Ia., July 6, 1872. [one child]
(2) Geneva, born Aug. 6, 1846; married Nov. 1864 Wm. Bassett of Clinton, Ia.
Children with his second wife:
(3) Edith Alden, born Dec. 24, 1861; died June 22, 1866.
(4) Ethel Mayo, born Aug. 19, 1867.
