He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a daughter, Heather Rae Armstrong; and a stepdaughter, Beverly Downey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Raymond Armstrong Sr. and Nellie Montfort Armstrong.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. Burial is at noon Monday, July 31, in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
