BENTON — Funeral service for Norma P. Adams will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church at Benton with the Rev. Robert Hickman officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton tonight from 4-8 p.m.
Mrs. Adams of Benton died Monday Oct. 27, 1986, at the Cape Girardeau Care Center. She was 93 years old.
She was born Nov. 17, 1892 in Jackson, daughter of Robert M. and Margaret Hink Tirmenstein.
She married Benjamin F. Adams on Dec. 18, 1913 in Jackson. He preceded her in death June 20, 1979.
She was a housewife, a member of the Benton United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the United Methodist Women. She also taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary.
Adams is survived by one son, Ben M. Adams, Benton; one daughter, Mrs. Hess (Margaret) Porter, Benton; two grandchildren, Mrs. Peggy Robertson, Oklahoma City, Okla., David Porter, Memphis, Tenn.; and one great grandchild.
Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
