Mr. William R. Jones Sr., age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS and again on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until service time 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lambert in Lambert, MS.
Interment to follow in Lambert Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was a Mason in Clarksdale, MS, member of First Baptist Church of Lambert, MS.,served his country with 4 years in the Air Force, retired from Mississippi Department of Corrections where he was a maintenance manager and absolutely loved his family.
His passion in the last few years of his life included attending church and singing Karaoke.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his
two daughters Donna Wilkinson (Steven) of Tahlequah, OK., Linda Baker (Randy) of Courtland, MS.,
one son William "Bill" R. Jones (Daphene) of Lambert, MS.,
one brother Bobby Jones of Long Beach, MS.,
ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his wife, Opal Irene Finley Jones,
parents Jeff & Henrietta Jones,
three sisters Nelladean Crossland, Donna Rita Baker and Norma Jean Grissom.
