She was born June 2, 1934 in Normal, daughter of Vera M. Haning and Herschel H. Carmichael. She married Roger Lee on Oct. 28, 1956 at Heyworth Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Gregory (Pamela), Jeffrey and Kevin; six grandchildren, Kristen (Luke) Arnold, Ryan (Tori) Lee, Jessica (Jake) Callahan, Justine (Taylor) Sims, Jenna Lee and Keegan Lee; two great-granddaughters and two brothers, Ray (Sherrie) Carmichael and Wayne (Bev) Carmichael.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sister, Alice Marie; one brother, Norman; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Bonnie attended St. John's United Church of Christ in Minier. She was baptized and first became a member of Heyworth Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, deacon and ruling elder.
Bonnie attended Short Point country school, Heyworth Grade School and Heyworth High School. She attended Illinois State University and was a graduate of Mennonite School of Nursing with a degree as a registered nurse. She had worked in the medical office of Dr. Hugo Vietz in Stanford. She also farmed along with her husband on their Stanford farm for 40 years.
