Lavina Cooley Neal, 95, of Shreveport, La., died Wednesday, January 17, 1979.

Formerly of Rices Landing and Elizabeth, she had made her home in Shreveport since the death of her husband in 1949. In Shreveport she was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, five daughters, 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A son, William, and a daughter, Sarah, are deceased.
