Dr. Benjamin Maclin Huey, 71, retired Birmingham ear, throat and nose specialist, died today at his home, 610-B 24th St. North.
A native of West Blocton, Dr. Huey had lived and practiced in Birmingham since graduating from Emory University Medical School in Atlanta and interning in the Midtown New York Hospital.
Dr. Huey was a Mason, Shriner, veteran of World War I and a former member of the Jefferson County Medical Society.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery, Johns-Ridout's Southside directing.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Huey Franklin, Birmingham, and Mrs. Martha Huey Franklin, Covington, La.: two brothers, V.H. Huey and Edwin K. Huey, both of Birmingham.
