H.D. "Buddy" Noblett, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his residence in Corsicana. He was born on November 6, 1935 in Tyler, Texas to Roy Miller Noblett and Edith Mae (Robbins) Noblett.

Buddy was a great example of honesty, integrity, and loyalty. He was extremely smart, funny, and an avid reader. The love and dedication he devoted to his family, work, and employees were unmatched. He began working with electric motors in 1951 and trained hundreds of people in his field throughout his career. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 8 years. He owned and operated Electrico, Inc. in Corsicana for 32 years. He loved to work hard, so much so, that the love of his profession became his hobby. He once said that Electrico would be his legacy.

Buddy was the first civilian recipient nationwide of penicillin at age 9 for treatment of osteomyelitis in Houston, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Miller Noblett and Edith Mae (Robbins) Noblett; brother, Allan James Noblett; sister, Rhoda Emily Noblett; and daughter, Kelley Jeanne Snead.

He is survived by his wife, Janet R. Noblett; daughter, Kristi Ritson; sons, Mark Allan Noblett and Todd Gipson; grandchildren, Rachel Ritson, Jennifer Ritson, Morgan Ritson, Emma Claire Snead, Matthew Noblett, Michael Noblett, and Ben Gipson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Buddy's memory can be made to The First United Methodist Church of Corsicana, American Cancer Society, or the Salvation Army.
