Geronimo – Funeral for retired Staff Sgt. Cecil Murl Bryen, 75 Geronimo, will be at 10 a.m. today at Becker Memorial Chapel with Buster Baxter officiating. Sgt. Bryen died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at his home. Burial with military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery. He was born Jan. 15 1927, in Oklahoma City to Willie Wilbur and Dottie Mae Bryen. He married Martha J. Baxter on July 26, 1948 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Retired from the Army after 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife, of the home, Pam Taliaferro, Biloxi, Miss; Sandy and Tommy Tompkins and Sherri Peterson all of Waco, Texas; a brother Ralph Bryen, Yukon; a Sister, Lucille Howard, Okarche, six grandchildren; Richard Horton, Ben Taliaferro, Chris Tompkins, Heather Luna, Ashley Luna and Stephanie Luna, and one great-grandchild, Cole Tompkins
